Jacques Jani has followed his medical studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles during 7 years and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university for another 5 years, of which one year spend in Paris.
Subsequently, he carried on his PhD on fetal surgery of congenital diaphragmatic hernia at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven for another 4 years.
Finally, he ended his training for another 2 years by Professor Nicolaïdes at the King’s College Hospital in London.
At 36 years, Jacques Jani returned to Belgium to be appointed since February 2008 as chairman of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital Brugmann, in Brussels and Professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Specialised in fetal therapy and more particularly in fetal surgery, Jacques Jani carries on his passion in his job by teaching in his department as well as abroad and conducting research in different fields of fetal medicine.
